From Inventory to Inspiration

Project Blog: A Collections Intern’s Journey at the Scottish Fisheries Museum
This spring we have been very lucky to have two students volunteering with us from the University of St Andrews.
One of these students, Yao Yizhi, completed an audit of our textile collection. Yao says:
I worked as a collection intern for half a term with the curatorial team at the Scottish Fisheries Museum. This placement is part of my Museum and Heritage Studies module at the University of St. Andrews. In this blog post, I would like to share my experience and reflections from this placement, from cataloguing and photographing collections to discovering the rich stories of Scotland’s fishing communities.
