This year we have a packed programme for all the family, both inside and out of the museum:


Free entry to the museum

Schools Art exhibition: Graphic Design

Catch of the Day exhibition on fish, food and sustainability


10 – 3.30: Model Boats Club display

10 – 4: Exhibition on the restoration of the Reaper

11 – 11.30: Harbourlights performance from Flowin’ Tide

11 – 1: Have a go at Archaeology

11 – 1: Knitting & Knots: salty tales of life at sea and on shore, including gansey knitting with Edith Rattray

11.30 – 4: Face-painting and family fun stalls

Timing TBC: Have a go at rowing and see the St Ayles Rowing Club displays (harbour beach, weather dependent)

2 pm: Fisherlass and Lad ceremony (harbour stage) Includes Art Competition Prize-giving

Pop in and try a new ‘Sunday Selfies’ Challenge every month – included in your museum entry fee.

Explore our collections, get crafty, or take a closer look at our temporary exhibitions. These self-led activities are available every Sunday and are fun for all the family.

Why not take a Selfie as you enjoy the challenges and tag us @scotfishmuseum?

From Sun. 6th May – Different fish like to live at different levels in the ocean and different habitats. Can you guess which fish live where on our temporary Catch of the Day display?

*Participation in Sunday Selfies is included in museum entry during normal opening hours. Take advantage of our 12 month pass when you purchase your ticket and you can enjoy free access to the museum’s permanent and temporary displays as well as Sunday Selfies for a whole year!

Lest we Forget: Remembrances of World War I

An exhibition highlighting the stories of some of those commemorated on our local war memorials, how their lives were touched by war and how our communities remember them.

Merchant's Room : Yolande Kenny, For the Love of Fife

The latest exhibition in the Merchant’s Room is an evocation of the East Neuk by Yolande Kenny. With pen and watercolour, Yolande captures this unique corner of Fife with a light touch and a true eye for detail.
