The Boatyard occupies the site formerly used by Alexander Aitken and then Smith and Hutton Boatbuilders and houses much of the museum’s collection of fishing boats. Various styles of boat design from around the Scottish coast are illustrated by vessels from the Hebrides, Northern Isles, and mainland Scotland.
