Exhibition of fishermen’s knitwear created by textile expert Stella Ruhe to mark this North Sea phenomenon - an art form and chapter in women’s history which came dangerously close to being forgotten but now inspires contemporary designers, knitters, writers, curators and historians the world over.
The exhibition showcases over 30 of Stella’s hand-knitted garments based on her extensive research of traditional designs.
