Get hooked on heritage at the Museum through our learning programme - it is more than just fish!

Bring your class topic to life and get hands-on with our collection through our interactive curriculum-based workshops.

We offer content on sustainability, science, engineering, the environment, mathematics and social history. Our cross-curricular workshops can be delivered at the Museum or as outreach in your classroom. A visit to the Museum includes a Guided Tour and pupils of all ages will:

~Get up close to our historic boats

~Handle historic objects

~See STEM in action

Explore our workshops and learning resources below. Workshops and activities are also suitable for home educator groups, youth groups and uniformed groups.

We are part of ‘The Great British School Trip’ by Hyundai. If your class is eligible, you can apply for a bursary to help with travel costs to the Museum. Visit our page on their website to apply and see if you are eligible.

Our Flagship
Boat on Water
The Museum's flagship, REAPER FR958, is a restored Fifie sailing herring drifter built in 1902. In total, the Museum has 19 historic vessels.
