Mr Darwin's Fishes
9 January - 29 February 2020
The exhibition Mr Darwin’s Fishes reflects back to the early days of natural history research, as conducted by Charles Darwin on his voyage to South America aboard the HMS Beagle between 1831 and 1836.
This condensed version of the exhibition, on display in the Merchant’s Room, was first displayed at the Scottish Fisheries Museum in 2010 as part of the International Year of Biodiversity. It explores the birth of marine science alongside our main exhibition Sea Change which looks forward to predict the state of the seas in 2070 (on show inside the museum from 24 January - 21 June 2020).
