Safety at Sea: The RNLI (P1-P7)

The RNLI’s volunteers have been saving lives at sea for 200 years.

During this workshop, students will explore how the work of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) has contributed to the safety of fishermen and continues to save lives at sea to this day. It will explore the development of life saving equipment and the changing nature of lifeboat design over the past 200 years - and how this has been dependent on technological, industrial and social change.
